This installation plays on the space of 'window-displays' and the commodification of artwork, craft, things, and objects. Artwork is produced and sold in a very specific and complicated economic system which ironically tries to create a moral plane where the fine-arts exist beyond the everyday economic modes of production. The pieces individually have their own trajectories and meanings, but together are working to unravel conceptions of Americanism, the good life, and the patriarchal forms of social conventions. This flaccid American-Dream is a form of narrative fallacy produced through myth, ritual, and form.
